Upon arrival, meet your representative and depart for Sigiriya or Dambulla via Pinnawala. Visit the Pinnawala Elephant Orphanage, established in 1975 to care for orphaned elephants and support elephant conservation.

After breakfast, visit the magnificent Sigiriya Rock Fortress, an ancient citadel built by King Kashyapa. Rising approximately 200 metres above the surrounding landscape, this UNESCO World Heritage Site is renowned for its historic ruins, landscaped gardens and the famous frescoes known as the “Heavenly Maidens.”

After breakfast, depart for Kandy. On the way, visit a spice garden in Matale to learn about Sri Lanka’s renowned spices and how they are cultivated and processed. Enjoy a traditional cookery demonstration before continuing to Kandy.

After breakfast, visit the Royal Botanical Gardens in Peradeniya, celebrated for their remarkable collection of tropical trees, plants and flowers.

Continue with a city tour of Kandy, the final capital of Sri Lanka’s ancient kings and a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Drive around Kandy Lake and visit the local bazaar, arts and crafts centre, gem museum and the sacred Temple of the Tooth Relic. End the day with a traditional cultural show.

After breakfast, depart for Nuwara Eliya. Along the way, visit a tea plantation and factory to learn about the production and grading of world-famous Ceylon tea. Enjoy a freshly brewed cup before continuing your journey.

Surrounded by mountains and lush tea estates, Nuwara Eliya is known for its cool climate, scenic landscapes and charming colonial character. Upon arrival, check in at the hotel.

After breakfast, depart for Colombo via Kitulgala, a picturesque town along the Kelani River and a filming location for the Oscar-winning movie The Bridge on the River Kwai.

Continue to Colombo and check in at the hotel. In the afternoon, enjoy a city tour featuring the city’s colonial architecture, modern skyline and cultural landmarks. Highlights include the historic clock tower, Pettah Bazaar, Buddhist and Hindu temples, Colombo Museum, BMICH and the Dutch Museum.
